Please forward this message to the entire congregation. Thanks

Dear New Hope Community Church,

Sarah and I would like to send our biggest thank you for the gift we received in the mail from the congregations. We both recognized it as a major blessing. In a time which was filled with so much confusion and uncertainty, receiving word that you all were praying for us lifted our spirits. Equally meaningful for us was your confirmation that our time spent with you was not in vain. Once again thank you so much for this.

Now to provide an update of where God has led my life thus far. As most of you know I am coaching football at Remington High School. The season is not going as well as expected for a number of different reasons, but despite the lack of success on Friday nights I love the influenced I am able to have within the lives of the young men. Along with coaching, I am also a para-teacher at Remington High School, providing in -class- assistance to students with various learning disability. I also sub occasionally for the school district. I have enjoyed these opportunities provided for me and cherished the daily interaction I am able to have with the students. The opportunity for ministry is plentiful in these jobs and I am happy to fulfill the call.

As might have been expected word got out of my ministry degrees and experience in preaching. Thus, I got asked two weeks ago to preach at Federated Church in Whitewater, Ks (Affiliated with the Church of Christ). The congregation was so impressed with the sermon that they asked me to be their stand in pastor until they can find a full-time pastor. I was thankful for the opportunity and accepted the offer. Of course, were it not the time I spent with you all at Trinity and the experience I gained in my time on staff, I would not have been so comfortable as to deliver God’s work to a brand new congregation. Nevertheless, thanks to many of you I did have the experience and God moved through the message.

Lastly, I should also add that Sarah is doing well and continues to work hard in her position at the YMCA. My mom is also doing extremely well as she was able to find a place and also has landed a job as a para-educator with a Wichita middle school; furthermore she is directing a youth choir for a Church in Wichita.

Once again I would like to thank you all for everything. I hope New Hope Community Church shines a light in the Community of Valley Center as you seek to live by and proclaim the gospel message. I will seek to keep you all informed of my future plans and I will also be praying for the congregation going forward. Bless you all!

Peace of Christ,

Damian Berry
